Open Lyre and Kniffin trining systems with each two planting densities (3.3m¡¿1.5-1.1m and 1.8m¡¿1.5-1.1m, R V, respectively) were evaluated for their effects on bunch characteristics of 14 wine grapes (Riesling, Ugni Blanc, Se¢¥millon, Chardonnay, Clairette, Muscat de Frontignan, Chenin Blanc, S.V5-276, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Pinot Noir, Carignane, Merlot, Perdea) grafted on S04. Number of berries per cluster of Open Lyre system was higher than that of Kniffin system. Carignane, Ugni Blanc, and SV 5-276 grapes had more number of berries per cluster while Riesling, Perdea, Se¢¥millon grapes had less. Number of clusters per vine of Open Lyre system was higher than Kniffin system. Pinot Noir, SV 5-276, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes had more cluster per vine while Muscat de Frontignan, Grenache, and Chenin Blanc grapes had less. Cluster weight of Open Lyre system was heavier than Kniffin system. SV 5-276, Carignane, and Ugni Blanc grapes had heavier cluster weights while Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir grapes had lighter cluster weights. Cluster length and width of Open Lyre system were longer and wider than Kniffm system.
